Sara graduated from New York University in 2006 with a finance degree in her hand, and the desire to do nerdy stuff still in her heart. Voted "most technological" in her high-school yearbook, she resumed being "technological" after college as e-commerce project manager for a major fashion company, launching their first online retail store in 2007. From there, she moved on to design and develop websites for a variety of clients as a freelancer before joining the Barrel team as a web developer in early 2011.

Aside from cold and unfeeling machines, Sara also loves animals, talking with her co-workers, dancing, reading, playing the piano, and melting pieces of metal together in an aesthetically pleasing fashion.
