Overview

You must be able to commute to our office in New York City. This is a full-time position and we're looking for someone who can start immediately.

Interactive Designer

We're looking for a talented interactive designer to join our team.

We work with a wide range of clients and like to take on a variety of projects from websites to custom and Facebook apps. We're a young and fun team located in Little Italy/Chinatown.

Some projects you may find yourself working on:

  • a clean tech company's proprietary app interface
  • e-commerce site for a new fashion brand
  • website for a new nonprofit dealing with eyewear
  • Facebook app for a large retail brand

At Barrel, we love big displays with useful information presented in an appealing way. We call this the Wallboard. Here's a blog post on the one we created for our office.

If you'd like to apply, please design and code a personal Wallboard for your home that shows at least five different pieces of information. You can include anything that would be useful to you such as social network feeds, time/date/weather, schedule, etc. or it can be something totally specific to you.

Your personal Wallboard doesn't have to be functional or use any live feeds. It can be a flat HTML. Please send us the URL to the page or email a ZIP file to jobs@barrelny.com.
