There’s still over a year left before the 2008 presidential election, but things are beginning to heat up for the primaries. We have our own favorites for the race, but we decided to take a quick look at the official sites of some of the leading candidates to see how web design was figuring into campaign efforts. As expected, the red-white-blue theme dominates most sites as well as imagery of flags and stars. There’s not much difference in terms of content from site to site, so we decided to compare the initial impressions we got from the homepages - the overall feel, effectiveness of communication, and organization. “Sorry ice cream, I’m dreamin’ of a different dessert” so begins the addictive Pinkberry anthem, found here. We’ve been playing it non-stop today and feel like making a quick run to K-town for a medium with Oreo cookie crumbs, strawberry, and kiwi. I love it when the girl says “succulent mango.”

Last weekend, we finally got around to turning my bedroom into a complete office. Sei-Wook, who had masterfully planned out the layout on Google Sketchup a couple of months ago, made sure that the plan was well executed.

After renting an Enterprise cargo van, we drove around to Home Depot and IKEA to buy the necessary furniture. We also dropped in at the the Design Within Reach Annex in Secaucus, where we luckily found the Zero Table on sale for $300 (orig. $850).
