Ecommerce brands like Fabletics, Adore Me, and Savage X Fenty by Rihanna have become popular over the past decade due to their membership approach to ecommerce. But customers are often intimidated by the act of joining, and worry about automatic payments they didn’t intend to make.

Fabletics makes it clear to customers how their membership program works, stating that customers have until the 5th of every month to skip their purchase. Members are constantly reminded of their impending purchase each month, and given plenty of opportunities to opt out.

Monthly emails from Fabletics highlighting new collections and when a member skips the month.

Monthly email campaigns highlight new collections available to shop, and email reminders help make sure customers are aware they are running out of time to skip their purchase.

For those who decide the membership discount is worth it, Fabletics is able to personalize the shopping experience based on their preferences. Each month, Fabletics curates new arrivals for each member that are easily shoppable from the “My Outfits” menu item.

How customers can shop outfits curated for them and manage their membership details.

The hamburger menu also gives members a quick overview of their membership details, with an additional reminder if they have skipped the month, and unique features like the ability to add an item to their favorites or a waitlist.
