Lumin, a clean and premium men’s DTC skincare company, uses their Free Trial to convert customers to subscribers.

Lumin's free trial confirmation page

When a customer purchases Lumin’s free trial, they first see a free trial confirmation page that confirms their shipment was sent, highlights a promotional video from the brand, and outlines the four things to know about the products and subscription experience.

Lumin's free trial confirmation page including how to videos and order summary

The landing page also educates men about the product usage, including a step-by-step guide with videos.

At the bottom of the page they share an order summary including the shipping cost of the free trial and the set they purchased. A ‘Continue Shopping’ button circulates them back to the site to shop their other products.

Lumin's subscription dashboard and edit subscription window

When a Lumin customer signs into their account after they have subscribed to their trial, they can edit their subscription at any time. This includes updating the products in their subscription, changing the frequency, pausing a shipment, and cancelling.

Lumin's referral program

Lumin makes referring a friend easy with their referral page that allows customers to easily copy their feral link or send a text or email with a pre-populated message from the company.

Lumin's cancel subscription flow

If a customer decides they want to cancel their subscription, Lumin asks customers for feedback as to why they are leaving. If a customer selects ‘Too expensive’ there is a second pop up with different ways that the company will help them save to keep them as a customer. This includes downgrading their products and decreasing their monthly spend with the brand or skipping a shipment.

Lumin's post subscription cancellation promotions

If the subscriber still carries through cancelling their subscription, the final page in the subscription cancellation flow features other ways to purchase the products and a 15% discount code off of their next Lumin purchase.
