Launching Dr.Jart+’s First US Ecommerce Website on Shopify

Dr. Jart+ is a globally recognized skincare brand renowned for its innovation in skincare. Their brand was first regarded as one of the best selling BB creams in Sephora and later went on to get acquired by Estée Lauder. Barrel worked with Dr. Jart+ to launch the brand's first US ecommerce experience on Shopify Plus, blending skincare science, routine education, and product discovery for a high-converting DTC experience.

Barrel partnered with Dr. Jart to launch their first ever US ecommerce site, guiding customers to science-backed products tailored to their skin type, concerns, and needs.

As part of the redesign, we crafted a distinct identity system for the US site that both differentiates it and builds on the foundation of their parent brand.

Knowing that science is at the heart of Dr. Jart+'s product formulation, we built educational modules across the site that educated customers about how their ingredients help with every skin type and concern to encourage conversion.

We designed a robust product finder for Dr. Jart+ that uses a skincare quiz to recommend products tailored to customers’ skin type and concerns.

To reinforce the brand mission and highlight Dr. Jart’s global reach, a custom About page connects customers with the science behind each uniquely formulated product for specific skin types.
