Launching E-Commerce in the US
Founded by a dermatologist and an architect, Dr.Jart+ is a Korean skincare brand that is the fusion of skin, science, and art. They pioneered the BB cream category and are one of Sephora’s top-selling brands. Barrel worked with Dr. Jart+ to launch the brand’s first USA E-commerce experience on Shopify Plus. Their products were previously sold exclusively through Sephora for American customers. Dr.Jart+ has been recognized around the world for their innovation in the product design space and they have won 24 Beauty Awards, 6 Design Awards and 8 Government Awards.
Telling the brand and product story
We brought their brand to life online, allowing for the merchandising of their ever-growing product line and an easy, intuitive checkout experience. We created a robust product detail page that educates customers about the product’s unique story, benefits, and how to use the product.
It was important to define Dr.Jart+’s USA specific brand story, so we created an About page that features different story points of the brand.
With the brand’s constant push for innovation and cutting edge product design, we created different interactive moments on the site to bring the brand to life.

One of the biggest concerns customers have when selecting the right skincare product is which product is right for certain skin types and skin concerns. To help find the right products for Dr. Jart’s customer’s we designed a customized quiz that provides product recommendations linked to skin type and product benefits.
