The Algorand Foundation is a not-for-profit organization with a vision of having a borderless, frictionless economy built on public, decentralized blockchain technology. They are dedicated to fulfilling the global promise of blockchain technology by leveraging the Algorand protocol and open source software for an inclusive ecosystem.

The Algorand Foundation partnered with Barrel to design and build a dynamic, information-rich, and visually impactful website that serves the needs of hodlers, developers, and partners.

Barrel created a design that presents information about Algorand’s mission in blockchain technology—an often-complex topic—with clarity and transparency. The new website provides a seamless user experience through education and discovery, while incorporating design elements and an illustration that represents the history and each aspect of The Algorand Foundation.

The custom illustration we created is a visual representation that embodies the technology, innovation, and opportunity that Algorand can offer. Each building has a significant meaning to the people who make up the Algorand team, and every item references an important piece of the company as a whole. To highlight the importance of sustainability, we incorporated bicycles, wind turbines, solar panels, and trees, which aims to further express the potential of a world that strikes a balance between nature and technology.

With goals of increasing Algorand blockchain developers and growing the global Algorand community, Barrel created the Developers page for potential developers to discover and learn about the technology. The page includes articles, videos, and other resources for developers to explore.

Algorand’s website also includes a dedicated space featuring the largest community governance program in blockchain history, which lets members become part of the decision-making, growth, and development of Alrogrand.
