The Role
We are open to contractor engagements for this role. The Digital Project Manager will own delivery on initiatives for digital projects including design and development timelines, vendor coordination, resourcing, scope management, sprint planning and quality assurance testing.
Responsibilities
- Manages multiple competing priorities through effective organization and communication
- Creates/owns design and development timeline/schedule
- Manages project risks and works with team to identify mitigation plan
- Identifies needs for project and communicates effectively to team staff in accordance with timeline and budget
- Organizes and prioritizes development sprints in partnership with development lead
- Partners with Design and Engineering Leads to create detailed tickets for team and ensures tasks are moving per outlined timeline
- Manages communication with Client Service team in regards to project tasks and needs
- Collaborates with client and team to understand functional specifications and requirements
- Manages vendor relationships as well as freelance contracts as needed
- Ensures alignment of responsibilities with team
Skills
- Prior experience working on Shopify projects or other digital commerce and CMS platforms
- Strong understanding of business and functional requirements
- Understanding of third party applications and platforms as well as integrations
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented
- Level-headed and positive attitude under pressure
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
- A passion for learning new skills
- Strong web and Mac desktop skills – we use Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs, and various web-based tools such as Basecamp, Harvest, and JIRA
Experience
- 3+ years experience in website development
- Proficiency or Shopify experience is a plus
- Prior experience working within a digital agency; additional experience within an eCommerce environment is a plus
- CSM or PMP certifications a plus
Compensation
$3,500–$6,700/month (contract position; part-time to full-time based on mutually agreed schedule)
