Refreshing The Face Of Fekkai

Founded by Frédéric Fekkai over 20 years ago, FEKKAI is a world-class haircare brand committed to product performance, sustainable products and salon level care at home.

The brand engaged Barrel to redesign their website, on the verge of a significant e-commerce expansion initiative. Barrel worked with FEKKAI to marry the brand's core values of it’s founder authority, performance driven formulas and sustainability with e-commerce best practices. The end result is a mobile-first, streamlined shopping experience interspersed with moments of product discovery.

The brand’s expansive product line is wrapped up in 95 percent recycled plastic bottles that are 100 percent recyclable once you’re finished with them. The hair care itself is made sans silicones, parabens, and sulfates, using vegan + cruelty-free practices and is leaping bunny certified.

The site launch includes a new editorial platform to consolidate Fekkai’s position as a thought leader in the haircare space. The new site also retells the product and brand story to be ingredient and sustainability-focused and integrates Frédéric Fekkai’s story into the new website.
