Uniting Together With Gold House

Gold House is the premier nonprofit collective of Asian & Pacific Islander founders, creative voices, and leaders

Gold House partnered with various organizations to launch an event called Unity March, an Asian American multicultural event to advance socioeconomic and cultural equity, racial justice, and solidarity. Barrel was tasked to design and develop a website with the goal to announce and build excitement for the event, showcase the various partnerships, share event details and allow people to RSVP to the event.

We designed the website with the aim to make it one-of-a-kind while staying true to  Gold House’s color palette. Because this site was used as an announcement, we chose a typeface that was bold and had a strong voice. We also included a poster texture in the background, inspired by wheatpaste posters and ads seen in outdoor advertising.

The website was built in six languages in order to reach wider audiences: English, Chinese (Simplified + Traditional), Korean, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Punjabi (Gurmukhi).

Each detail of the event, including how people could participate and when to arrive, was included, along with an Integrated Mapbox to show the map of the march and a contact form for the Contact Us page.

Check out the site here.
