Austin’s Homegrown Hard Seltzer

Blue Norther is a hard seltzer from Austin, Texas founded by a father-son duo both fittingly named Austin. With Texas roots that date back to the Battle of the Alamo, the pair wanted to create a brand with the same bold, quirky spirit as their hometown. 

Named for the fast-moving cold front that can blow across the Texas plains, Blue Norther uses all natural ingredients inspired by local Texas fruit, and delivers refreshing flavor with no aftertaste. Blue Norther came to Barrel to redesign their website in order to launch their new merchandise line and to tell the unique story of the brand’s heritage.  

Inspired by the brand’s bold attitude, Barrel combined line drawings, bright pops of color, and playful animations to create a visually captivating and immersive site. 

While the site offers many branded storytelling experiences, making sure the site remained ecommerce focused and easy to shop was top of mind for our team.
