Dr. Jart+ Joins Estée Lauder

Korean skin care is here to stay, or so says Estée Lauder. Announced on Monday, November 18, 2019, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. plans to acquire Have & Be Co. Ltd., the global skin care company behind Dr. Jart+. As Estée Lauder’s’ first Asia-based beauty brand acquisition, Have & Be Co. Ltd. and Dr. Jart+ will help expand consumer reach across oceans, from North America to the United Kingdom and Asia/Pacific. Dr. Jart+ and Estée Lauder already have a 4-year history.

After the Company invested in Have & Be Co. Ltd. in 2015, Dr. Jart+ is expected to do more than $500 million in net sales in 2019. Founded in 2005, Dr. Jart+ 's unique combination of dermatological science and art quickly became popular among millennials in Asia and the U.S. The Korean skin care brand became a household name after partnering with high-end beauty monolith Sephora, earning praise from celebrities and customers around the world.

After previously selling their products exclusively through Sephora for American customers, we collaborated with Dr. Jart+ to launch their first-ever U.S. e-commerce site in March 2019. Read more about The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. acquisition of Have & Be Co. Ltd. and Dr. Jart+.
